So I guess no news = good news for Monday, because last time we heard from MEC was right away after spirits management wouldn’t even sit down in the table and it was an instantaneous email sent out by the Union bashing Spirits Mngmnt

B6 has leg by leg block or better. So, you got that going for you.

Lots of regionals have it, as well.

Oh it didn’t sneak by. I asked that at a roadshow and got “golly gee we really thought we’d get it but we didn’t.” Our NC at their finest.

Maybe it’s time to BE vocal. Especially here where between the pilot shortage, opportunities elsewhere, and a JCBA that will HAVE TO GET DONE before an expensive merger can bring any serious return on investment means that this time the pilot’s group has management by the short and curlies rather than the other way around.

Maybe it’s time for the pilots group to firmly communicate their expectations to management as well as the MEC, because the traditional you-give-us-this-for-that sort of horse trading doesn’t need to apply this time. Maybe we can come up with a better plan than just selling out the newbies in the belief it’s a zero sum game and that if we impoverish them enough there will be more for the rest of us.

Talking about THINGS that you like or dislike is one matter, talking about RATES that you would settle for is incredulously stupid

Yep, had block or better leg by leg at my previous
regional.

It's actually pretty wild how bad a MAJOR airlines contract actually is in a lot of areas...

And who died and made you the arbiter of things stupid and not stupid?.

With good QOL features, insurance, LTD and STD, and a 17% DC, I’d settle for $120 an hour with a 75 hr reserve guarantee for 1st year FOs, $220 an hour and a 75 hour guarantee for 1st year CAs, an overall increase of 8-6-6-6% DOS, and 5% per year per year increase for the first 12 years of longevity.

Doesn’t seem a bit stupid to me.

Just like how everyone was willing to sell out reserves being able to drop days and now they are mad about it? All that happened last time is they threw enough $$ at the pilot group and as a whole they caved.

It doesn’t seem stupid that you just proposed hourly rates that are less than JBLU LOA rates for everything not 1st year FO?

It’s one thing to be dumb enough to say what you’ll take in public. It’s an entirely different kind of stupid to state you will take less than what JetBlue is already being paid, while we work towards being JetBlue pilots.

I’m not even going to quote him it’s so completely stupid.

In the next round no one’s pay rates will be starting with a 1 in either seat. Get a clue and stop undermining our NC, our soon to be JNC, and every NC currently out there negotiating
