How much time do they require? And are most these positions in FL?

What prohibits this job from being the leader in total compensation for NB equipment in the industry? Why do guys continue to spew this garbage that "we'll always make a little less, because Spirit..."? The fact that Spirit doesn't have WB aircraft and loads of retirements is EXACTLY why we should aim to demand and negotiate being both the highest paid as well as having the best QOL of any NB carrier out there.

don’t know, probably at least a R-ATP. everything is in FLL.

Keep in mind these FOI positions are highly vetted. You will be teaching pilots which have been working in the Part 121 world for years. Not only basic indoc stuff, but actual flows and profiles of the Airbus in our trainers (stationary). But if you do get the job I can’t think of a quicker way to get to Spirit as someone right at their mins, However that may change in the future if they get desperate enough for pilots.

guaranteed pilot slot and priority over others if you want to become a sim instructor some day, is what I was told by a current FOI

Speaking of comedians, I happened to catch Dave Landau doing stand up on an overnight a couple months back. He’s from Detroit originally and makes a lot of jokes about Spirit…. and they are hilarious. If you can’t laugh at yourselves sometimes, what’s the point.

Anyways after the show he was having a smoke and selling some merch. I walked up and got in his face (dude is like 5’4) and said I was sent from the Spirit pilots union to f*ck him up for talking sh*t about us so often. He freaked for a second and then called my bluff and we had a good laugh. He was super cool and we swapped stories about the crazy stuff we’ve seen on board. He even gave me a whole bunch of signed stickers, so if you’re a fan and see one on my pilot kit, ask me for one.

The fact that our management could not have possibly done a better job than they did running the negotiation playbook? And gaslighting and beating us down so hard that "It's the best we're going to get offered and I'm tired of waiting" became the phrase of the day?

In other words, we do.

Don’t forget that show of force of 35 Spirit pilots showing up to picket at the airport. That had Bendo shaking in his Italian boots. Nothing says “unified” more than 5% of the pilot group showing up demanding more

I’m sure there will be less then 35 next time around and there is double the pilots now. Sun Country got a new TA I’m sure we will still be less then them. Can’t wait for the “we are almost sun country” pay rates chatter.
