Must’ve been awhile since you’ve seen the inside of one. I looked at the Toyota and thought it looked cheap compared to the GMC. Plus, the Toyota couldn’t give me the same torque/pulling power of the 6.2L.

The 2022 tundra just released and the 3.5 twin turbo hybrid V6 will give you those numbers. Similar to the Ford power boost only it won’t break.
If you need a 3/4ton or more unfortunately you’ll have to go Mexican made with one of the “domestic” trucks instead of the American made tundra.

Ford Super Dutys are made in SDF; GM HDs are made in FNT and FWA.
Also, Tundras aren't exactly Hiluxes. Tundras are an old body style, with old engines and transmissions and old-school short gearing that made a truck so awesome it was distant fourth in fullsize sales out of five full-size manufacturers. I love how that's somehow an attribute...
The new Tundra will fix many of those issues, but its ugly as sin taking on Toyota's big dark grill architecture that must have been stolen from BMW.

Not saying the Tacoma isn’t a capable truck, but miss the 90-94 Toyota that was no frills and bullet proof.
A buddy of mine had a landcruiser pickup overseas and it was a blast, the kind of thing you can beat up off-road and the body was solid.

I really wish they would bring the Hilux here, but there are way too many Taco fanboys and Toyota knows what side their bread is buttered.
