Monthly/Annual Pilot Credit
Spirit is very appealing to me for a number of quality of life factors. Work rules, schedule flexibility, bases, and the list goes on. The big question I have is compensation. QOL is more important than money to me, but it definitely is part of the equation. Looking at the contract, FO+CA rates are comfortable on min guarantee for my situation, but if I were to go to Spirit, I'd want it to be my final career destination.
All that said...
What is your monthly average / total annual credit as a Spirit pilot?
If you're able to even further break it down...
Based on your credit, how many block hours did you fly?
Based on your credit, how many days off did you average?
I get it, YMMV based on base, whether you're a commuter, on reserve, etc. Individual data points are welcome and encouraged. With pilot hiring picking up steam and lots of options potentially on the table, I'm trying to make as informed of a decision in who I target.
Thank you!

Yes YMMV just like any airline. You’ll hear break out stories of 200hr credit months but those are extremely rare and most will not see one of those in a career.
On rsv plan on 72hr guarantee. If you want to work on your days off premium trips will be luck of the draw and outside of summer or major holidays they are a lot less likely
A line holder can be average line value of about 75hrs to up to 100hrs if you like to bust your butt at straight pay.
Min credit trips generally have some soft credit. The better paying trips are usually hard block

I’m an fo, I don’t like to work much so I usually shoot for 80 credit hours and 18 days off as a goal. I mostly end up 17-20 days off and 76-85 credit hours. I commute so I don’t play the x/y game, but for what it’s worth I pretty much get whatever I bid off or am able to drop if not initially awarded it without much trouble. As always ymmv.
edit: reserve expect 12/13 days off and 72 hour credit, but as a commuter having the 4 days off between reserve stretches is worth its weight in gold.

sure, I’ve been here 2 years. Ord base. I don’t bid for the moon i just try to avoid red eyes and try to get trips commutable on one end. Again ymmv, but I’ve had a great experience with my schedule flexibility 🤷🏻♂️

How do you get 80 credit and 18 off with commutability on one end? (Average credit per day of 6.67 on 30 day month and 6.15 credit on 31 day month)
You would need to get the 25 hour or 25:05 credit trips to get close to 80 with 18 off. The trips with commutability on one end are 21-23 credit trips.

One mans commutable is another mans hotel. Before covid as long as I finished before 10 pm I could commute home. They changed that and it’s like 6 now. It all just depends on what your commute looks like. I do agree that 80 hours and 18 off is tough unless you’re senior. More like 16 off.
