Not automatically. I have 3000 ish hours now. You have to apply for it just like any other license. The only thing that makes it a hassle is that there is no way to do it on IACRA, according to the local fisdo. But the only time it legally needs to come off is during upgrade.

Printing your electronic logbook is totally fine; you can get it printed and spiral bound pretty easily at FedEx Office, staples, etc. I brought mine in like that plus my paper logbooks. I wasn’t hired recently, but two years ago, they hardly looked at it.
It would probably be nice to have the restriction removed prior, but also I’d bet not a big deal. I bet they could remove it along with your type rating paperwork during training.

Is it still possible to get an ATP in a Seneca?

So am I correct that a type ride makes it a regular ATP? Somewhere along the way I remember regionals turning all the SIC types into PIC types and the guys that had commercials got ATPs at recurrent. Does that not happen w a restricted ATP? Not grilling you just curious

So I have an in person interview coming up and had a question maybe those who’ve recently gone could answer. I use LogTen pro for my logbook, they want only paper copies. LogTen pro has a printable version of logbooks. Do y’all know if that would suffice? Otherwise I have about 2 years worth of flying to backup in my paper log. Also, even though I have a rATP for time (I’m eligible now for a normal ATP), they selected me for an interview. I’m currently in the process of getting the restriction removed, but do they care more about it being an unrestricted ATP or being eligible for it?
I received a compliment on the LogTen pro printed logbook. They didn’t ask for the originals, but I had them available with me.

“They won’t hire 1500 hr cfi’s” is a red herring
maybe they will, maybe they won’t
but what about 1500 hr cfi’s that have just passed a 121 training program, a jet type rating and ioe? Like a 1750 hr, 250 turbine guy. Who didn’t use to meet mins. Is there a good supply of those pilots?

A 1500 CFI is just that, their resume is 1500 hrs, CFI.
Someone with a 121 training pass, jet type and some hours turbine is a completely different applicant.

the news isn’t that spirit will hiring at 1500, it’s that they will be hiring at 1700. Talking about 1500 hr hires distracts from the significant changes that are very much signalled by 1500hr mins

I took my original logbooks that Inhad stopped using years prior. I printed out my LogTen Pro logbook (I had already entered everything in LT) and used a binder system for the printed version I bought from “Logbook Solutions”.
I received a compliment on the LogTen pro printed logbook. They didn’t ask for the originals, but I had them available with me.
