times are changing - spirit is facing a shortage of pilots while offering the second lowest FO pay and increasing upgrade times. 1500 hours? See frontier hiring flight instructors in 2017

please explain your math…. As unbiased and #spirittriggered as you can possibly muster (I know that’s asking an awful lot)

2900 pilots on the list - target is 300 airplanes but talks of parking and retiring the 319’s. Very good chance the last captain has been hired here already doing the math of pilots per plane. Hate away but see southwest - once organic growth stops where do you think upgrades come from? Very Young pilot group - aka no retirements - if this place doesn’t grow past 300 planes upgrades will be 10 years plus - mark this post 10 years from now

why do you assume there’s no plan to grow beyond 300? The last TH I watched also said the 19’s are staying for the foreseeable future.

reference the base chats regarding staffing and 319s and JM’s comments

So if 319’s are going to be parked why are we installing WiFi on them while taking deliveries of new 320 NEOs and flying them around with bo WiFi. No need to be dramatic about the MINIMUM hiring requirements dropping.
