Took me two years of applying and job fair-ing to gets hired. That’s with a clean record and an internal recommendation. Seems like some of the pilots that were hired at regionals during a period of growth in the industry are getting a bit of surprise they don’t have multiple offers simply for being above the minimums.

Dude, it’s your attitude. You come off like you can’t imagine not being called for some weird reason, because how can you “not be good enough” for Spirit. It’s still very competitive out there and don’t assume applying gets you an interview to explain failures.

And I don’t see any difference between a check ride failure and a new hire oral failure. So trying to downplay it as only a new hire oral failure as being not a big deal could be the reason you busted it in the first place.

Spoken like a true person who didn’t have to deal with it lol and I’m glad you think I failed because I didn’t take it seriously. Sort of a broad statement. Psa prepared us relentlessly to pass the exam by teaching us certain things. I only got a couple questions on those subjects. My sim partner along with about 10 others in class also did not pass so I guess we’re all just a bunch of entitled people. So after I failed,,,I had to take training the next day based on all the stuff I didn’t get asked on the first exam. The next day I retook it and the examiner cut it 15 mins short cause it was clear I was good. Sort of odd isn’t it?
Examiner: what’s the lowest visibility an FO can take off?
Me: 1800rvr
Examiner: explain
Me: at 1600rvr or 1/4 mile the captain has to do it.
Examiner: ok. Well what if the rvr was 1605 or 1610?
Me: well that’s not reported so I wouldn’t know if it was that.
Examiner: I didn’t ask what was reported. I asked what’s the lowest you can take off

Questions like that seem like a totally legit reason to bust someone….

You’ll be fine. Interviewers love people who blame any issues on other people.

Best of luck champ 👍🏻

Lol I can tell you read it. Guess you don’t see any issue with that.
Oh and this is a forum. Not an interview. But eitherway, looks like I’m not being given the opportunity to explain what I learned anyway does it? I have learned stuff believe it or not. Hell I became a captain,,,,twice,,,,with no issue too.
