I’m just telling you what I’m seeing and what it looks like. I find it odd that twice now my application just goes into a review stage and yet guys with a similar background get called like they’re the last qualified people to chose from….but I digress….it’s frustrating

Rumor is if you had any failure in 5 years you just aren’t good enough to work at spirit. Several people have said this and the application I recently submitted did ask if anything had been within 5 years.
Seems a tad on the extreme side especially if your hiccup was minor.

I am hoping that you mean ton in the literal sense, so at about 200#/pilot maybe 10 felons, and aren't suggesting that a significant amount of our pilot group are felons........

I have a clean criminal record. I would have had a pretty hard time holding on to a DOD security clearance with stuff on record. Besides the line check incident and having to retake an oral exam as a new hire 4 years ago. I’m clean.
As far as my file is concerned, do you mean my file where I currently work? Wouldn’t spirit pull my application and speak with me first before deciding on going forward with pria or contacting my employer? I’m no expert on the matter either, but I’m pretty sure employers are restricted on what they can say. Usually not more than “oh yeah he worked here from this date to now” sort of thing.

I'm seeing a lot of people posting about applying then being baffled that there is any kind of wait, or shocked they aren't getting a call immediately. This isn't some regional; Spirit is a major airline. It's competitive to be here. Not quite sure why that's being forgotten about. This isn't some kind of revolving door, which is ultimately what makes this such a great culture and pilot group. Those that are really just trying to spring-board to a legacy, need not apply.

My seniority has nothing to do with attrition to a legacy, when the airline is intending to double the size in 5 years anyway. Besides, do you have the statistics on who's leaving to legacies? I mean... since you've been here for so long?
