On the other hand,,,my application still says under review and I never got TBNT over the gallop assessment or anything.

Yeah, definitely seems weird to exclude people with a failure. Everyone can have a bad day. If you know anyone at Spirit, get the internal recs going. That seems to help.

Imagine wanting to get your hot air balloon rating just for fun and you fail your oral. Now you are DQ’ed from interviewing at Spirit just because of that.

Yup. I’m ex military, A&P license, ISR UAV/UAS experience. BS degree, 121 TPIC time,,,but I busted my new hire Oral and I got yanked off a line check cause my medical was cut improperly along the fold line. (I had both half’s on me too.) glad that’s why I’m not getting contacted.

When were we ever trying to be that? When were our hiring standards different or subpar compared to anyone else's in recent years? I can't stand this attitude amongst some here that our pilots are somehow lesser than other airlines. This attitude has carried over in the form of apathy and lower expectations during past negotiations, and it continues to this day with the abysmal participation rate in the latest contract survey. This crap has to stop.
