Maybe this was true long ago, but its not 2015 anymore. Captains here make >$300K/yr and FO’s can crack $150K without a sweat. We have comically good QOL, fast upgrades, explosive growth, great benefits/retirement, and over 3000 resumes in the pile…
So to anyone who thinks a degree makes you “too qualified” for a multi-million dollar career spirit, you are probably the type that the recruiters are hoping to weed out during the interview process

401k at 15% is is another $39k. That’s $299k. 2% 321 kicker is $6k getting you up to $305k.
I know, I know , everybody says per diem isn’t pay…yada yada. The h€|| it isn’t and it’s tax free and social security tax free too so it’s BETTER than salary, which will be AT LEAST another $4-7k.
So yeah, if you can’t get by on $310k you’ll have to go somewhere with a better contract or hope NK gets one before you become a senior CA. .

12 year CA DOS +4 is $260/hr. At 83 and 1/3 hrs a month that’s $260k a year.
401k at 15% is is another $39k. That’s $299k. 2% 321 kicker is $6k getting you up to $305k.
