You’ll have a life jacket on and will have to demonstrate you can get into a raft. If you seriously can’t swim at all maybe learn? Perhaps some swimming lessons or just jump into the shallow end of a pool and teach yourself to tread water. You could probably teach yourself with some YouTube videos and access to a pool in a couple hours.

As far as pool day for training, you don't actually have to touch the water. You just go in an inflatable raft. You can/may have to wear a life jacket in case you would fall in, but it's not a swimming day, it's a demonstration of the life raft.

First, you should learn to swim because it's just a good idea.

As of a few years ago you do actually get in the water and have to climb the ladder to get into the raft. They also expect you to blow the vest once you get in the water

But when you actually get the CJO in hand I’ll be almost as happy as you, because every new hire just bumps up the seniority for everyone else, and cross country commuting to sit reserve when there was little if any flying and there were no vacancy bids that would have allowed you to actually move to the base near where you live because of a pandemic truly did suck, although at that I was better off than a lot of people. But hiring newbies, new aircraft, and new routes that has actually let me actually get my desired base and eventually even get off reserve - man I’ve been waiting for that. And I fully realize that I was more fortunate than many guys at other companies with a CJO when COVID hit the fan.
I’m overjoyed that you are getting hired. Just didn’t want you to jinx it or anything.
I hope to be congratulating you shortly.
