Most likely the only thing you missed is JM trying to explain away why we suck so bad as an airline.
There, I just saved an hour of your life. You're welcome.

I can confirm, anybody with less than 90 days on property received emails yesterday saying that, effective March 1, all benefits start day one of hire. You have to login and opt in to receive the benefits starting March 1.

Just don’t forget when you get here that 69% of the pilots you fly with thought that is a pretty darn good deal… and there was zero possibility of something better. These guys are easily identifiable because they wear bright orange lanyards and mutter silly things about apple bites and legacy revenue streams.
Be sure to remind them that they still need to cover your van tip despite the massive windfall they secured for you.

most guys here are not new hires in training so guess what? If the company is concerned about attracting talent, then that’s on them to pay better for newbies.
sorry but I don’t care!!

Dude,
You yes voters didn’t even have the stones to stand up for industry standard pay for the majority of us here who aren’t new hires, so don’t go lecturing me about “wasting negotiating capital on first year pay” like I am excargodog. The company was in early negotiations specifically to buy relief on first year pay from us and YOU sold it cheap.
Maybe you should care a little bit….

I get we matched legacy 320 rates from a 10 year old contract, but at the moment, that’s the standard since that’s what’s current. When legacies get a new contract, the standards moves. But until then, it’s standard pay rates. Let’s see what the JCBA brings.

Didn’t like the TA because: training pay, newbie health insurance, first year pay, slope. I’m sure it’s not good enough to stop attrition.
I think if we had voted it down, we would not have gotten a TA before the merger, and our seniority in the SLI would have been affected by that. Most of us will take a sizable drop in RS after the SLI even with the TA. I chose that over a few extra $, and voted for the ones staying, but I could be wrong….
I tip $3 for the hotel van, $5 for a limo, and pay dinner and drinks for every FO that tips the van driver.

Probably gonna get flack for this, but what’s done is done. But to say the TA that was voted in isn’t industry standard (in regards to pay rates) is disingenuous. Is it industry leading? No. Is it industry standard? Yes.

Better follow Ted’s advice in his email and get everyone you know to message their law makers about supporting the merger so we can at least get that much… woe be unto us if this doesn’t go through.
