Is that you Bendo?

If you expect the negotiating committee to achieve the same results *right now*, I think you will be disappointed.

Let’s hope for something that is an easy yes.
The timeline has zero to do with this. Should pay pairity always take three years after an amendable date? Everyone on year three now was in stalled negotiations during a pandemic otherwise they would have had these numbers long ago. Our contract being amendable three years after theirs you’re basically saying we’ll always be a cycle behind so we can stick to this mythical timeline. The time is now. Period. The market is the market. Our amendable date has nothing to do with getting market pay or not if we are negotiating now.

I agree with you. But the negotiating committee has basically said to expect less, so what we’re voting on will probably be less, and the pilots will have to decide if it’s enough or if we take it to full section 6. Section 6 takes time. Just my guess. That’s all I was saying.

Based on your posts it looks like you haven't even been here a year (if you are even a pilot here). And if that's the case YOU won't be voting on anything... thankfully.

If it isn’t airbus market rates it’s not enough simple as that. That’s how pilots are other airlines think and no reason we shouldn’t as well.

Btw anyone thinking Alaska is enough let alone less just go ahead and venture over to the Alaska forum and start at page three of the “was it a good deal” thread.

They realize now with the delta AIP that they got duped into a bad deal. Their snap up is also weak. Are we even negotiating a snap up?? They are an all narrowbody airline the same size as us.

In all fairness, someone had to go first…. It’s like a 4-way stop sign Mexican standoff, just ****ing go!! United failed miserably and actually had concessions in their TA…. Alaska greatly improved many items on their list, and set the bar (albeit a low bar), for narrow body pay. Now it’s up to everyone else to keep raising that bar. Delta’s AIP should definitely do that.
