It would bring me great pleasure watching a Delta captain navigate the Easter egg hunt that is getting an airplane off the gate in Orlando…

That same delta captain would probably give his left nut just to have a pilot domicile in Orlando. Not saying we don't deserve more but perspective is everything.

I don’t negotiate my compensation based on where the company may or may not want to have domiciles that can open and close at their whim

well you definitely just pulled that number from your a**. If you’re talking just current pay rates DL top is 286 for the 321 and say you’re middle of the road here ( $230 ish ) it would take almost 2700 hours of credit for them to make 150k more than you. Not saying NK pay isn’t way lower than it should be but numbers mean stuff.

You are aware delta has an AIP right. AA and UAL also have voted down deals. Talking about old contracts when real numbers have already been seen is silly. Zero indication our management is going to “get with the program”

What is the program you speak of? Because saying "zero indication" is kind of a half truth, right? They are literally at the table right now. Come friday if we dont have a deal, then yeah, there is your zero indiction. But our MEC currently feels positive with the way the talks have been going and we will know Friday. But lets not say "zero indication."

Facts are talks have progressed faster than even our NC expected it to go (from MEC member). Now if people are expecting Alaska or DAL AIP rates in this possible deal might as well get ready for disappointment and get your No vote ready, I know a lot of guys are.

Why wouldn’t we expect Alaska or Delta AIP rates?
“building our legacy” right

well even if you took their new top rates ( about $345 ish ) and compared them to our current rates of $260, 150,000 divided by 85 ( 345-260 ) is over 1,700…Sorry you couldn’t be troubled to do simple math as you were cherry-picking numbers. Just because I’m using real numbers doesn’t mean I don’t want every cent that they get.

Still dont get why some pilots dont understand what the NC has said throughout this process; I guess some are either not reading the communications or failing to comprehend them. Nonetheless, here are some quotes from the conference call. Yes or No, people should at least have their expectations in check when/IF we get a deal

"Pilots should not be looking at this short-term deal as the one single step needed to create a destination, career airline. That is only possible in a new contract that addresses all sections That will be either a JCBA or, failing regulatory approval, a comprehensive Section 6 bargained as a standalone Spirit."

"The TA at Alaska represents a comprehensive contract that took three years of hard bargaining by the Alaska pilots to achieve, and it shows Spirit management what it will ultimately take to compete for pilots. Our next comprehensive agreement, whether a JCBA with JetBlue, or failing regulatory approval, our next comprehensive CBA as a standalone, must meet this standard. And as we stated earlier, this focused approach is the first step toward a comprehensive agreement."

"In our focused negotiations we are seeking permanent pay increases now, with a plan to build upon those increases in the next comprehensive agreement."

When asked "How does the Company’s initial proposal compare to Alaska’s TA in terms of compensation (and any other areas you wish to explore)? How does the Negotiating Committee’s initial proposal compare?"

That is one of those apples to oranges comparisons. Their TA took three years of hard negotiations to achieve, and it is a comprehensive overhaul of their agreement. We are taking the first step in a multi-step process of seeking immediate pay increases for our pilots while we work toward a comprehensive agreement. When we eventually reach a comprehensive new agreement, it will need to meet or exceed the improvements that the Alaska pilots have achieved.
.

Read that last sentence if you need a full understanding. Yes or No, have eyes wide open going into this.
