Spirit Airlines Training

For some people, 2 weeks into training. For others, 5-6 weeks into training. Really depends on background checks...

KCM is active once you get your badge. CASS on the other-hand is a different story. They won't activate it until after your background check is complete. You will know it is complete because you will receive an email saying so. This will happen sometime while you are in SIMs (your 7th or 8th week). However that doesn't mean that you are in the system to where you can actually sit in the jump-seat. It will take another day to a week for someone in admin to do that. As with everything else here YMMV, but good luck. You may need it.

I suggest you find your way to training by departing an airport with free parking. The positive space on Spirit may be more expensive than buying your ticket if you have to pay $15/day to park somewhere for a month. I was in the same boat as you but drove 3 hours to be positive spaced out of Latrobe, which has free parking. Or call ahead to the parking services at the Spirit city airport and see if any of them do employee discounts, as you should have your ID when you return to pick up your car.

The first person to have CASS access in my class didn't have CASS access until about 7 weeks after start of class. Not sure when you were hired but with all the new people coming in every week they may be taking longer with the background checks because of a backlog. As I said YMMV.

It is AQP and yes there are guidelines to repeat items. In the MV it just has to be completed in the allotted time. Some of the initial busts were lack of knowledge of memory items/limitations and systems. Heard straight from an APD. To which you have all the answers to because there is a question bank to study from. And odd versus even years questions.
