Sorry everyone, I realize I didn’t word the question great. I have the flows and steps memorized from the flow guide no problem. What I was referring to is if they wanted us to go more in depth in the AOM and learn the expanded steps to the flows. For example, if the A/C hasn’t been powered for 6hrs, then deselect BATTs, ensure above 25.5, etc. I have a feeling that they’re not looking for you to show up day 1 with all of that memorized, correct? Just the flows and basic steps, memory items, and limits?

You can say on the PCP that you will reset the ADIRS. If they ask when do you need to reset, a long vs quick alignment, you will need to know that. Honestly what good is a flow if you dont know when you need to power the batteries on external power vs not needing to?
Dont overthink it. These aren't super indepth flows. Do you need to have it down like you will for the oral, no. Will you need to know why or when you turn something on, yes. Wording is bad in the AOM but PF flows for cockpit prep are CA flows and PM is FO flows, so even if the FO will be flying that leg, the CA does the PF flows. Its bad wording and left over from a short period where they had FOs doing the CA flows on the ground, and then changed it soon after to the way it was before, yet PF and PM remain instead of CA and FO
I will add this...AOM does specifically mention that PM/PF cockpit preparation flows can be done by memory or by the aid of AOM Vol 2. So its there if you get stuck. But dont be that guy who reads it out of the AOM on their check ride, that wont go well.
AOM2 needs a lot of work and they will be slowly changing most things to the Airbus model, vs the amalgam of stuff we have now, taken from various airlines.

At the end of each system’s description is a section called “controls and indications” that gives a description of what each switch and push button does, what the lights mean, and what causes a fault indication.
This is probably the best place to start as you work through the panel if you want to understand the expanded flows or wax poetic on your oral when they walk your through the panel.
