that would mean 65% of the pilot group would not be working.

When you look at it objectively, this is an unprecedented opportunity to get a big pay check plus full benefits to f''k off and do whatever you want for a few months. No reason we shouldn't have maximum participation and no reason we should have to furlough at all. Alaska avoided all furloughs this way. My friend at Endeavor says they have more people on voluntary leave than would necessitate a furlough.

Even though each base has targets, they'll probably give them to whoever wants them.

Except the consensus here is that while voluntary measures will help, they will not eliminate all furloughs. That’s straight from the reps.

I may have written that incorrectly and apologize if I did. I think around 30% will be gone voluntarily or not either way.

I'm in if I'm senior enough to hold an EIL.

I assume you’ll do the 8 month? Because you wanted to have the pilot group to “mentally prepare” for a 15% pay cut to keep all guys on property.

So I assume you will take the 8 month leave to ensure that happens.

Yup. Endeavor is in a solid position. I am happy for my former colleagues. They are getting decent utilization. I am hopeful that us at Spirit will also be in a good position.

2 GFDs allowed per month now approved, bringing the pay up to 58 hours/month. 2 hours to go till bidding closes....

Hopefully that pushes it over the top for the senior people. If you’re at the top of the pay scale, it’s a pretty sweet deal.
