Well, they have to have the displacement bid by the end of the month. So, a lot to get done in the last 15 days of the month.

But, I think the union did a great job of getting this together. We’ll see how it plays out, but it’s on the pilots at this point.

going to be sad if people that wanted to take EIL’s couldn’t get them and people are furloughed because of it.

I agree I’m not sure why they are doing it by base seniority when they will still have to run a displacement bid anyway. Should have done eil by master seniority list.

Its the same as what they have been doing -
50 hour VIL lines. Except now they are being offered in 3, 6 and 8 month time frames.

Because if they know how many pilots then need in each base / seat and get that many EIL's awarded in each base / seat there's no displacement bid.

Thanks, wish they’d offer that at F9er.

except when say one base runs out of EIL’s to bid for and another base has EIL’s go unfilled and X amount of pilots are on the street because of it.

This is true, looking at the monthly VIL awards. Some bases take a lot, others not so much.

Hang tough, bro. We in aviation will all bite the sandwich with brown contents at some point. It's the price we pay for having one of the best jobs. Maybe F9 will get lucky, maybe us here will be too.
