i was initially impressed with the union communication when I first got here. However now in a time of crisis it’s the same old ALPA tune.

I'm not a rah rah union guy but I feel like they send out emails all the time. I would even say they send out too many. Maybe you should volunteer, because it is a thankless job.

I’m not saying it has to come from the Union just info in general. My buddy at swa gets emails all the time from management on what’s going on in the company. I don’t need an email every day but it’s been over a week since the last town hall?

This shouldn't come as a shocker, but this isn't Southwest, on many levels.

Yes I know that, my only comment was I wish we had more communication from either the company or union, I don’t need an email every day but a status update once a week would be nice.

From P2P:

They are close on an MOU, and hope to have it wrapped up today. More details to come.

I would imagine we hear something by tomorrow of this weekend.

Do you really want lies or Kool Aid from the company?

Honestly, my guess is they have no clue what to do so they can’t communicate that. Stats on the virus are getting better (no matter what you hear) and more people are flying. Down in Wuhan, FL the hospitals are opening back up to elective procedures. It’s all week to week and they can’t make a plan is my guess so they are waiting until the last possible minute to put anything out even if they have something tentative.

so why couldn’t they have sent that out in a quick email?

No clue. I agree completely. 100%. To me its kind of like a long on board delay. We do a PA every 15-30 mins (even if nothing has changed). Why not do the same with this?

Lets hope we hear something very very soon.
