All these people assume it’s gonna be carnage. However, I did a voluntary displacement bud and as of the last “what if” I’m not senior enough to get displaced. I know it may change, but for now the displacement on the FO side in DFW is essentially non-existent.

I turned down a Spirit interview because of this and the fact that I’ll be making over 12 year Spirit FO pay as a CA at Envoy, or the same as a 9 year Spirit FO as a CA at Mesa. I literally can’t afford to be a Spirit FO at this point. I’d be taking a huge pay cut.
No more dropping trips at Spirit when they’re short staffed and they won’t be properly staffed until they increase pay.

You turned it down for a temporary pay raise at a regional with no DC? Um, Okay.....in 3.5 yrs you'd upgrade and will make more than you could ever make at any regional. That combined with the fact that rates will go up, possibly by December, was not bright on your part.

I cannot make a case for someone today to leave their regional to come here. Stay, upgrade, flow. Money is hands down better at your regional/legacy and Seniority is hands down gonna be better at your regional/legacy.

CA pay rates at a regional now are great. To not want to go back to our new hire training pay, first year pay and medical benefits farce is totally understandable. 15%DC is great but at what expense? Not being able to pay your rent? The fact that you absolutely need to dip into savings to come to Spirit and to potentially rely on cobra makes us total bottom feeders, even when compared with regionals.
The only reason anyone comes here now is for legacy flow and honestly It's blowing my mind that anyone is coming to class at all.

The grid is contractually compliant at the start of Initial Open Time, but becomes almost exclusively red at the close. Only the top 10 percent are able to take advantage of the QOL this hard fought provision provides.
This is due to low FO staffing, and because of this, the grid starts with a net reserves of only 0 or 1 for many of the days. There are too many open duty periods compared to the number of available pilots.
By the time the first 5 pilots start adjusting their schedule (dropping most trips so they can become available for premium trips) the grid is almost completely red.
