It would take about a $2 per ticket fare increase to make pay competitive with our peers. An MOU changing reserve rules back to being able to drop one block a month from the outside in seems easy. Making training a fully paid and insured is more low hanging MOU fruit.

Nobody needs to slip on some bathroom tile to discover the method to make time travel possible. Just be proactive. To quote William Wallace…”Do it. And let the applicants see you do it.” Or something like that.

A Back 2 the Future reference and a Braveheart reference. 👍🏻

When has every legacy needed to have the greatest hiring wave in their history all at once?

I’m skeptical too, but these are not normal times. They may not have a choice In Miramar.

Ummm…. Im pretty certain we were the first airline to go 200% back on the 28th-4th. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

All the Comms I saw from Jet Blue and United and others were after our announcement. Some got even better deals. That’s great and that’s how it works. Pattern bargaining and all. Kinda how Southwest set the bar during Covid and preventing furloughs, which was the same format we used.

It obviously worked (relatively speaking). I saw AA and others in the news that week. Within a day or 2 most every trip (primarily those Jan 1 and beyond) were no longer in OT.

I get it’s easy to claim nothing changes, but we 100% could have easily had another massive meltdown again, but instead of we took this approach and we didn’t. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I got $75 for working Christmas Eve and Day. No 200%…. Yeah, fair….
Maybe your Allegiant foggles haven’t uncleared themselves to the reality of the industry, but Spirit is NOT the end all and be all. Retirement is. My vote didn’t matter but I’m regretting it now….

🥱 As predicted. This is why I rarely post on here anymore. Everyone becomes such a douche if someone’s views/opinions don’t align with theirs.

What was said that wasn’t factual? All I simply stated we were the first airline to go 200% and we’re actually proactive for once.

I’m not going to apologize to you that you didn’t get anything extra outside of Xmas. I don’t work in Miramar believe it or not. Naturally, I wasn’t involved in those decisions.

I was off work for Xmas. Im not that senior so maybe learn to bid next time? Not sure what to tell you.

You seem to mistake someone that enjoys it here, for being a total kool-aid drinker. Guess what? We have changes that absolutely need to be addressed next contract. It’s not perfect here.

I have friends at all legacy carriers, WN, JB and UPS. Every single one of them has things and issues they don’t like.

Just wait until they eff up the economy again. Plenty of folks near the bottom of various seniority lists aren't gonna be so chipper about their recent career move.

Sucks working the holidays. Hope you took your $75 and bought some cheese to go with that whine 😃

I made $$$$ with that 200% deal. Nice job union to score that for everyone and not just the gravy gang that waits for the phone to ring.
