The number is accurate. The resignations this year and next will be crippling to the operation (has already began). There are obvious solutions however the people in charge of our Low Cost Pilot airline will elect not to pursue them.

**I hope you all are ready to fight. Those of us stuck here will not only be fighting the company, but also those in our union trying to negotiate like it's 2001. We need some more new blood in our union leadership.

im here for the long haul and ready to fight.

They enjoy their paychecks too. And will endeavor to keep collecting them.

I can see a scenario where they wait too long and the problem is not recoverable, but I view that as an outlier on the opposite end of the spectrum from an MOU increasing everyone’s pay $50 an hour. While it is a concern I suspect they will wait to see where the legacies set the new bar, and then bargain with that knowledge and some cost benefit analysis with junior pilot turnover in mind.

It’s going to get ugly, wild and interesting. And probably drive some decision making by C suites that not many see coming.

I agree. A rising tide lifts all boats, and this will be an industry-wide shortfall. ALL managements are going to have to pony up, albeit some more than others.

Yup, they’ll either pony up and pay or this place and their jobs will collapse. As soon as things stagnate here due to not being able to grow people will be jumping ship left and right including most junior captains.

Same reason I'm staying, best case scenario I have about 15 years left (give or take if I medical out or something like that). If I left now and managed to upgrade at a legacy in a short time it would take approx 3-4 years for me to be back were I am, at which point I have even less time left if I would medical out early, not to mention I've been furloughed and downgraded before, with my luck I would get hired then furloughed and at my age I can't out run a furlough. I would say anyone here under the age of about 45 should probably at least put their resume into the big 3.

I’m mid 30s with mid 30s seniority at the company. Idk that I want to do another passenger carrier but fedex does interest me.

We are the Human "Resource", "a supply of money, materials, staff, and other assets that can be drawn on by an organization in order to function effectively". Airplanes break down if you don't spend enough money maintaining them, same goes for us.

Supply and Demand. The aircraft deliveries with continue and when they can’t find guys to fill the seats, or operation begins to get affected, they’ll take a page from the Sun Country or Atlas CBA. *no one pays more because they are nice*
