I love flying
I really love flying, as a new hire, how much could I expect to fly 1st year? 2nd year? 3rd? Looking at FL bases. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Im sure things are starting to pick up such as Captain upgrades base choices from training.
I understand completely the industry changes, musical chairs are in effect, and who knows what will happen in the future contract negotiations … (I’m willing to bet a pay increase due to attrition)
That said, I’m very impressed with Spirit and how they treat their people. I know many guys who have left stable secure jobs for this airline and cannot say one thing bad about it (minus first year pay and 90 day insurance policy hold) which tells me a lot.
this thread has been very helpful.

Multiple meltdowns that require crew to sneak out of the terminal in fear of bodily injury. That was fun too!
Profit sharing, some more of that company love
The company treats their employees so well….what a joke. That guy has a lot to learn about the differences between contractual fought for and a generous “company who treats their employees well”

Any major airline that pays you $1000 a month in training and makes you wait 90 days for health insurance clearly doesn’t give 2 craps about you.
I think the biggest problem with spirit doing this is that they put a really bad taste in your mouth with the company right from the beginning. There is a reason so many new hires are leaving.
