If you can't see why those pay increases for them helps us, you haven't been paying attention. Sun Country establishing that $300/hr is not too much for LCC/ULCC carriers only helps us for opening talks.

And unless inflation goes down considerably they’ll actually be going backwards as time goes by. Retired military got a 5.9% COLA hike for next year to offset THIS year’s inflation. Unless you are gaining more than inflation you are actually falling behind. At current inflation rates, a 2% a year increase just doesn’t cut it.

The CA DOS rates are a smidgen better than our DOS+4. The FO rates are atrocious. Definitely a huge step up for them though.... Rising tide....

I wonder what they're surrendering to get those gains... Shouldn't need to give anything in today's market.

Yes, Spot On!! We are almost 8 times the size of Sun Country (pilot wise) and they just surpassed us in pay, that’s a HUGE help to us.

By the time we start negotiating, we will be literally the bottom payed airline (assuming allegiant gets a contract). With all the airlines hiring like crazy the ball could be seriously in our court!

How likely is it or how senior would I have be to get the same line every month? for example Mon-wed or mon-thurs trips every week?

1. UNLIKELY unless,
2. REAL senior.

That’s almost impossible to predict. We use PBS, and pairings change every month. Some bases have have more commuters who don’t care about weekends, some have a young group of extremely senior pilots, etc. Now if you’re ok with reserve, you might be able to build yourself weekends off once you’ve got several other reserves behind you in a relatively short amount of time.

no, not really. Crjdriver cut his medical but it wasn’t his fault. Dr D Head is a victim of internet hate crimes. Cincodemayo has started to make sense lately, which scares me. Some goober from SkyWest wanted an interview then told us first year pay is too insulting to him so he’s gonna pass. That’s not super pertinent information except that it made excargo come out of his cave and see his shadow so we will have 6 more months of Covid.

that’s about it.
