I remember my friend telling me when he got his job with a new real estate company, they gave him 3 suits, a cold weather jacket, 5 shirts, 8 pairs of socks, 8 pairs of underwear and 3 pairs of shoes. I asked him why they gave a grown man clothes? He said “because companies are supposed to buy their clothes for their professionals like they do at McDonalds”
Wait, sorry…that never happened.
Seriously? Guys now can’t afford a black pair of slacks and a few junk shirts to do their job? Our uniform provider is junk. So much junk that many guys donate our allowance to new FOs who can’t seem to find $100 to buy a few shirts and a pair of pants.
Paying for uniforms and medical, such low hanging fruit. FUPM, give me money, that’s what I want and I’ll buy my own supplies from a uniform supplier that actually makes decent stuff.

mar apr 2020 are not consistently holding lines in DFW. (Except Dec, when more senior ppl bid down to reserve to get Christmas off)
so….. close to two years but you have to remember we didn’t hire for a year over Covid so obviously faster for you
Edit - FLL and DTW quickest to hold a line

So how long would reserve be now at FLL/DTW?
Would plan to be based at either and then drop and pick up at DFW.

l've had a Spirit-provided crew meal before; they're a threat to your health. Way back when, we served FLL-GUA-LAX briefly. So the company figured we needed food since they hadn't worked out how to get us off the airplane in GUA yet. Hence, the short-lived and ill-advised Spirit Crew Meal was born. Quickly hit the white file cabinet tied to the FO seat.

At my regional, we received an allotment that we could allocate to 3-4 vendors, including a cut above. It worked great.

Things like this, in my opinion, are in regional contracts to distract from the junk of the entire contract. Does anyone need $20 a month to afford their uniform or is this just a cheap pilot "I want $20 because I want $20"
Personally, I dont want any of this kind of low bar junk discussed in section 6. Its beneath us at this point to be discussing pennies a day when we should be discussing larger issues.
I do not want any trivial gesture of $15-$20 month for uniforms to be misconstrued as a "give" by the company or a "gain" by the pilot group.
Keep your uniform allocation, medical reimbursement, crew meals, or any other ridiculous items of such.
I keep hearing about how we want big money, retirement, min day, etc....yet uniforms..
This isnt directed at you, I know youre just adding what you had before. But Section 6 opens soon and as a pilot group we need to get our damn minds right on what we are doing here, and it aint $20 uniform allowances.
