that’s because LAS crews don’t fly on the west coast…. All of the LAS turns are done with crews imported from bases east of LAS. trips for the imported crews are typically 2 LAS turns and the fifth leg to somewhere not LAS.
I don’t mind them, brings back nostalgia of my 9 -13 leg regional days.

It’s in the ball park, there are four “date of signing” pay bumps and the 4th of them will be coming up in a few month in March. At that point we will be at the top of the negotiated pay scale. I haven’t cross checked them, but first year will top out at $61.15

March 1st 2022 pay goes to (including 321 override):
2yr FO $116
6yr FO $145
4yr cap $223
12yr cap $265
add 15% DC for the 401k

Reading through this thread, it’s almost two years old now.
Any significant changes to report on the flexibility of Spirit schedules? It seems like a real highlight of the contract that you can drop and re-make so freely. Has their been any pressure on the green trips - i.e. more red trips? Is the 75% green to start the month across all bases? Are some bases more green than others?
Just looking for honest insight on if this flexibility is real as soon as you’re a line holder and/or any gotchas where it hasn’t really been the case. Thx

The only thing some people might perceive as a ‘gotcha’ would be reserve. The contractual requirement for 75% Green Day’s does drive a somewhat higher percentage of people on reserve compared to other contracts. It is a system designed to benefit line holders and justified because everyone eventually will be a line holder.
All FOs will go through it although you can then opt not to upgrade until you are senior enough to hold a line in the base upgrade vacancy you are bidding for. Last I checked NK had about 200 FOs senior to the junior CA, either because they didn’t want to switch to a junior base to upgrade or didn’t want to upgrade at all until they could do so without being on reserve.
If you are going to commute rather than live in base it is a consideration, perhaps even a ‘gotcha’ for some people. But the ability to have the QOL NK has as a line holder and readily drop trips sort of makes it a necessity. If you are going to drop it, SOMEONE will have to fly it.
