Heard the same story from so many express pilots. “I would never work at XYZ legacy.” Then they start working there one day and cashing the checks, depositing the 16% DC retirement, collecting the profit sharing, dealing with major airline schedulers instead of regional crew schedulers, and suddenly working for said legacy is pretty good.

You were regional feed and 100% replaceable and dispensable. It wasn't personal, it's the business. I never understood regional guys who saw it as more than a stepping stone to anywhere else.

Yeah, pretty much. Always laughed at those who really thought if they did better, their Legacy overlords would rain new planes and flows upon them.

That's exactly what I just said. It's business, and I didn't take it personal. It doesn't change the fact some of those decisions from mainline has such a negative effect to many regional pilots. That they don't want anything to do with that particular mainline anymore.
