Nah, I’m a 767 cargo guy. Most of my time is in a Beech 1900 flying cargo and pax. Just started my 121 gig about a year and a half ago. I’d bet that a lack of jet time probably didn’t help, but I had hoped that international experience and some TPIC would make me competitive. I have the luxury of already being at a decent paying job. It just isn’t where I want to spend my career.
If so, they sure have not kept up with the times.

Nobody else here or on RST Spirit has heard anything. Maybe he got called coincidentally about the time he went? It feels a little too “my friend’s brother’s old flight instructor’s roommate got a call right after!” Not that I doubt he was contacted, only that when it comes to this stuff, it’s better when a poster can personally attest to being directly contacted himself.
Another guy on Facebook mentioned getting contacted three weeks after the previous MTC, so that might suggest a similar timeline here.

I don’t think it was the jet time. You sounds pretty competitive to me. Maybe you just rubbed someone the wrong way it was and didn’t realize it (it happens). If you really want the job I would say try to get an internal recommendation and if you don’t know anyone at Spirit try jumpseating a few times on us and strike up a conversation. Then try again. Or maybe add something interesting on your resume that makes you stand out (in a good way)
