Keep drinking that Kool-Aid. This TA isn’t “industry standard” at all, no matter what you MEC pals tell you. You have been away from the regionals too long. This is something Expressjet or Skywest would get. Selling yourself short by voting us for this POS is just dumb. But you have your mind made up, so no use in talking to you anymore about it. Hope you had fun at the lemonade stand the last 2days

YES. I believe this is the best deal we will see in relation to time/value/money in waiting for the next TA.
"I guess you have your mind made up, no use in talking to you anymore..."
Yeah, because I want to take career notes from "Turd Ferguson"
Now back to that tasty lemonade....

I'll take a crack at that:
I trust the NC and MEC, who are more familiar with this TA than the vast majority of line pilots, who've voted unanimously in favor.
The mediator felt that Spirit could not afford to pay more, and mediators do hold a lot of power
Spirit profitability goes down 35% with this deal.
It costs the company 49% more than our current contract.
The average pay raise is 43%, and I don't believe that takes into account the DC, meaning I can keep at least some percentage that was going into my 401K and have an even higher take home pay.
I realize some of the negatives. I currently bid reserve and will often drop a middle day. But as a whole this contract has a lot of substantial gains. And I'm not willing to wait an unknown amount of time for what might be a few more minimal gains.

It’s the cost of money while trying to get that better deal.
Forgoing thousands a month in gains would require years to make up for the loss of money today, for tomorrow. Not counting the loss and risk of not having scope, LTD, increased rigs, DC etc...
The company is not walking away from rescheduling and reserve drops. That’s set. Those are their must haves. We might as well give up LTD if we think they are walking from rescheduling. It’s that important to them.
