I can’t imagine balancing a household with both parents being pilots, but your asking single earner Spirit pilots to vote down a significant pay raise so you can continue a two earner income.

Honestly I'm not sure what to say? Your statement is just as ridiculous as me saying "I should vote no and have your wife go out and get a job." This is why everyone has a vote because they are going to vote what works best for their family. I'm simply telling you one of the main reasons I won't vote for it.

5. The Company will not assign or allocate flying or aircraft to the carriers it controls for the purpose of securing contractual relief or concessions (i.e. no “whipsawing”).

Whipsawing implies they want concessions. If they just give our flying to other cheaper pilots its not whipsawing. They are not asking for anything. They will just be conducting business in compliance with the new CBA.

5. What changes did we make in code sharing protection?
The present CBA protects the pilot group from furloughs as a result of code sharing. Under the tentative agreement neither code sharing nor any other form of marketing agreements can result in furloughs or a reduction in scheduled system wide block hours. This new metric is measured on a year over year basis in comparison to each trailing twelve month period beginning with date of signing. This means that if the carrier is adding flying, as is now the case, the block hour floor relating to code sharing is automatically raised. This provision also prohibits Spirit from entering into joint ventures or revenue sharing agreements in which Spirit pilots do not participate in the flying.
