It pains me to watch you guys pi$$ away leverage by voting yes on this TA that’s obviously not even close to what you guys were hoping for or deserve.

You don’t HAVE to have the mediator present to hold negotiations. The company can come to you guys at any time and ask to negotiate. It’s all about how motivated they are.

Look, I can vote how I choose, based on what I have read in the T/A. I dont need someone from SWA (who has never been Industry leading with anything up until post 9/11) I dont need his pity, nor do I need his advice considering he is not in my shoes nor has he read the T/A. You just recently upgraded, take your TPIC and go apply to SWA so you can sling gear for the next 20 years bragging about scope FFS

Alaska benefits from FEED to and from JAL. The flying airline gets to keep 99% of the revenue when they transport the passenger. So people codeshare to reach places they ordinarily couldn't for a variety of reasons. Why would someone codeshare and not grow their airline if it's so profitable? It's not. They only get paid when they fly the pax. When Alaska determines they have enough traffic to fly to Japan, or more importantly, has the right aircraft to do it, I'm sure they will. But in the interim, they get the feed from JAL and get to keep customers on Alaska that need to go to Japan rather than have them book on someone like UAL.
Educate yourself on how this industry works and stop scaring people with your pontifications on things you clearly know little about.

12-15 work days, NO PBS, superior pay, solid SCOPE and future.
Plus SWA respects their pilots, and they respect themselves.
We obviously DO NOT if we are considering this sellout.
