Section 27: insurance benefits

Whole TA vote is about what we get vs what we give. You want to say ltd is big win, how big depend on premiums. 90/mo good, 300/mo not so good. 90/mo this year good, what will be next year? How do you plan? Health plan increase caped - I can plan. ltd is nothing but questions. Even reeducation camp roadshow did not have information.

it doesn't matter, we should just be happy alpa got us to get another payroll deduction for our own good..you know, now i don't have to pay income tax on that extra LTD i have to buy-up. hey alpa, how many more years are you going to be taking that merger committee fee out of our paychecks? i need to budget, thank you in advance
Heaven forbid you want more you actually have to pay more! Oh the horror!!! You mean $15,000 monthly benefit for decades doesn’t come free?? Hell let’s make a a $25,000 a month and $4 million dollar lifeinsurance for everyone! Worried about a payroll deduction to protect yourself? Then DONT buy up...

If you read the TA (doubt you did), it is spelled out very clearly. Each time the LTD policy is renewed, the increase in premiums can be no greater than 5%. If the premiums go down, the pilot pays the lesser amount. I believe the monthly premium is $90 or 95 for up to $15k per month compensation.

Am I reading correctly?
You have to currently be on plan B insurance if you want to be able to have it in the future???
So we “retained” our industry leading health care only for those wh could afford to be on it currently?

Correct. Not sure what your prescription needs are but the Diamond might be a better alternative

Yep. It’s by far the best value. Happens to be the cheapest too. Healthy or not. Someone posted on here that back during enrollment that his wife has a chronic illness and they go max out of pocket every year and still agreed the diamond was the best. I haven’t been able to find a reason to go with anything else. Had healthy years, had two kids on it, and everything in between.

The B is phenomenal. My wife had 3 surgeries last year and two were out of state, we didn’t pay anything for the last two. It’s been a great plan and I’m not happy they are taking it away from anyone new who would be hired
