Yes. The current pairing optimizer is going away.

So yes I do think the schedules will be better with required union control of all aspects vs now which is non existent.

I know being the “cool naysayer” is your thing, but you’re wrong.

And if you’ll excuse me, I have a “Yes” vote to cast. It will be in your honor. Knowing it serves to cancel your No vote gives me so much joy.

When doing the math, trips with a 22-23:59 hotel stay are probably going to trigger the 3.5 duty rig anyways, which would pay more than the additional duty period.

In the end, a layover that long, 22 or 24, will cause a large TAFB number and the 3.5 rig will be paying us for it for a majority of the pairings.
Well there is a common DFW 3-day that will drop from 13:30 to 10. You think they’ll change that one? 31ish tafb.
Don’t worry no need to respond with that trip being an outlier and most trips will improve.

Not if they have a redeye and have one less duty period than calendar days. It might be base specific but I see a lot of these trips. The trip rig wont trigger so it’s either hard block (still not leg by leg) or it’s the averages duty period min with the long overnight credit. Almost all are under 24hrs.

We can also say that the time away from base is not that long so you’re home more but it still covers 3 working days so it takes more working day to hit the min credit for the line build. 18hr four Days like this will now pay 15:00hrs. Many pairings like this

Ahhhh, the PHX trio that everyone uses as an example. Yes. I’m sorry, that 1 will change. Tragic I know.

No need to respond to that trip being valuable and we need to keep it.

Why yes I do. Because I’m #1 union man!

So my final statement is that it has been fun trolling the trolls on here.

This thing will pass and some of you will need to make a decision to accept it or wear a lanyard protesting it. Nonetheless, you’ll cash the paycheck from it just the same.

These forums are a dispicaible place and I need a shower after a few days of this.

See you all at the TA ratification celebration!

I don’t see this as a win or lose argument but a place to share information and opinions. The road show is an information gathering place too and we all should attend
