I can guarantee you “union activities” by the NC is more work than anyone does on the line.

Agree, I would say your cynical point of view is a joke if it wasn’t so seriously poisonous!

You can view it from an iPhone

You have to go to the App Store and install a copy of Excel.

Then go to the alpa page with the calculator at the bottom click on the icon like you were going to AirPrint the page and instead swipe through your options and “Copy it to Excel” and then in excel save a copy on your phone.

Then it works.

Why can't ALPA change the extension to open document format (odf) so everyone can open it?
Guess the same reason there is no live feed of the road shows for those working or who have to commute. They are struggling in the 'technology' era.

This is current book and many call it trip averaging which is not a correct term because trip averaging is something different

Point being it’s not block or better on a LEG BY LEG basis.

Ex:
FLL to LGA to FLL. If you come in 20 over block on FLL to LGA then come in 19min under block LGA to FLL. You get a grand total of 1 min over block for that duty period instead of the 20 min I’m due.

Regional airlines don’t even do this. It’s theft! Not to mention it doesn’t incentivize an on time operation. It makes me protect the over block I made on the prior leg by slowing down if I’m not on a “rigged trip”

Seriously wtf
We used to have this at VX, only it was block or better FOR THE WHOLE MONTH!! It was awful. So if you were scheduled 80h and you flew 79.5 you got 80. Scheduled 80 and flew 80.1 you got 80.1.

Overblock all month on ragged, long days with delays, weather and mechanicals, but then get in early on a couple transcons cause the winds were light? Hours and hours of pay, gone. *POOF**

Then under the ALK JCBA we went to block or better per leg. I've been tracking it since it changed, it's a 5-9% raise over the way the crooks were computing it before.

Don't sign this garbage contract, you guys and the industry deserve better. Way better.

I agree, I hope you fellas vote it down and do much better. I have some great friends at Spirit and they fly the same damn plane I do. They should be paid industry standard, with industry standard work rules, retirement, scope and rates.

Dude don't **** on these guys and tell them it's raining. This contract is horse$hit and you know it. It's truly awful. Every bit of it.

Fight for the pay you are worth and your family will prosper much more, long term, than if you take a drastically subpar (everything!) for short term financial gain.

You don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate. Grow a pair.

Know what’s more awful? The contract we got now!

We all want the same thing....Maximize money, minimize work. Just different ideas of what formula will get us there at the end of the day.

That's a massively ignorant thing to say. Congrats, you win Clown of the Week award!
