Default Making the jump, what's the going quals?

Considering making the jump depending on how things play out with my current situation. Just passed a year of 121 and would like to get in on here before the contract passes. Haven't had any luck finding a thread that has hiring quals for people getting picked up though lately. I'm also 100% cool with IAH/DFW bases

What's it looking like hours and experience wise to get in currently?

How has PBS been playing out for people? I have PBS where I am currently and don't mind it if you know how to use it.

I also like to travel in my off time, how hard is it to get around on-line since the load factors have to be high given the market strategy?

Thanks yall

Might be signed in 2-3 months from now ( if at all ) but may not be implemented for a year or so because how long stuff like that's takes. Some people with 2.5k hours get called and some don't, some people with 6.5k get called and some don't so it's hard to put a number on qualification to get a call. Remember that DFW is eventually going to be very senior considering all the XJT/ASA people we get. IAH isn't a base and as was said already we don't have PBS, not sure where you're getting your info from but you don't seem to have done your homework. How hard is travel? Well if you jumpseat it's easy but if you want a wife/husband or other family it's not so easy. We do have SWA so that makes things better but it won't be as good as most places.

What do you mean you have SWA? Y’all have an interline agreement with them?

Yeah, my wife is allowed to fly standby on SWA as well as everyone else on my list for flight benefits.

That’s very good to hear since Spirit doesn’t serve our home airport.

You already give me a headache.
Sure, come on over. PBS is great here, we give 10 FTD’s and 10 full sims for training. We also have AQP, makes it a real learning environment.
First year probationary pay is $110 hr. and you will get your IAH base right out of training as well as hold a line the following month. Oh, and the upgrade time is only 1.5 yrs right now. So you better get your app in fast.
