I'd like to make the next step of my career, the last. It needs to happen in the next few months. So long as the upgrade isn't another 10 years, I'm game for what ever. Lasted 10 years as a regional FO before my CA number was pulled. I'm sure I could do 5-6 at a major.

I totally get your point though. It's all relative these days. We've all got our own little plans in our mind.
Very strange and factually incorrect statements. You could be a CA in ATL in under 3 years. If hired now you could probably be on the 7ER in ATL if you wanted longer haul. Certainly you could pick from the 737 or A320. There is something else at work here because nothing you post makes sense. Half the last new hire class went to ATL.

Unfortunately this link did not work so I reached out to the organization that created it but received no response. After about a week I got another email telling me to finish the talent assessment but the link was still not working. Sent another email to a different group of folks that handle the app process. Another email came with a good link followed by a Thanks but no Thanks.

Out of all the apps I have in, this is my first of those messages. I know I meet the mins by far. So it's not that. I failed my instrument oral about 15 years ago. Is that a major deal breaker?

Someone mentioned that since I live in ATL and I'm in my mid 30's they might be worried about me using the type and going straight to Delta. Which is not my intention. Wondering how to get this message across to them, that I'm not that guy.

Anyone else had this problem?
You probably used the wrong browser. Airlines are starting to filter for "tech savvy" (ie "young").

Ive got the same email and I didn’t even complete my application. It’s too bad they use computers rather than people to select candidates. Even McDonald’s actually looks at your resume.

I've applied and have kept my app updated. Got the talent assessment twice, most recently about 10 days ago or so. No TBNT, but no interview either.

I noticed a few errors on the app like mis spelled words, same exact question twice in a row etc. Then the link to the assessment that they kept sending me went to no where. So I guess I was wondering if the thanks but no thanks might have been sent in error as well. Especially since right after that email came another one to the talent assessment that worked. Who knows.

Yeah man it might be a mistake or you could be too qualified currently. I know we still hire many RJ captains but we also hire a lot of 2.5k FO's and some people who are qualified with good LOR's get the TBNT. There seems to be no rational reason why anyone gets picked these days. Either way you should follow up if you feel it might be in your best interest.

I think the key to getting an interview with NK is to actually meet a recruiter face to face. I stopped by the Spirit table at a ERAU career expo after having the online assessment completed for four months. I had figured that they were not interested, six weeks later got an email from talent acquisition for the phone interview and follow on in person. Very happy, awaiting a training date after my military retirement.

I love that Delta is hiring the "Elite of the elite" at a rate of over 1000 per year for the last few years and continuing. Sure are a lot of elites out there..... sorta like everyone's kids an honor-roll student in elementary school.

I lived in ATL for 15 years and would go back in a heartbeat but I have absolutely no interest in ever becoming a Deltoid. I might be in the minority and wouldn't argue against the need for a head examination (I did come to Spirit voluntarily after all) but an aversion to/antipathy towards the Widget shouldn't be an automatic red flag.[/QUOTE]

Not sure what a Deltoid is but I can tell you this. The corporate culture is slowly changing at most Airlines. Deltoid today might not be a Deltoid over the next few years. Legacy carries have A LOT of movement and with that movement we are seeing a lot of changes. Don’t rule out Delta just because of some reputation rumor you heard. I’m yet to meet an unhappy Delta pilot (recently hired one ).
