You say that but I still got the rejection letter. I didn't even have a chance to fill out the assessment. Couldn't have been that. Was a pretty quick decision all while they are looking for qualified guys. Surprised me a bit.

There's a big difference in culture within these companies. Not sure I could conform. D.) Delta only hires what they see as the elite of the elite. Even if you were of the elite, if you don't look like it on paper, you aren't their type of material. Gotta do a lot of embellishing and over compensating to get their attention. Again, not for me.

I'd like to make the next step of my career, the last. It needs to happen in the next few months. So long as the upgrade isn't another 10 years, I'm game for what ever. Lasted 10 years as a regional FO before my CA number was pulled. I'm sure I could do 5-6 at a major.

I totally get your point though. It's all relative these days. We've all got our own little plans in our mind.
I don’t think ATL is THAT senior. Choosing to commute and for less money makes zero sense I don’t care what type of plane or flying it is. Choosing to live in base for less money is different. 5-6 year upgrade at a legacy making top industry pay and making more than a Spirit captain as an FO or be a forever FO at Spirit at industry bottom compensation. Anyone hired today may never upgrade before their retirement date. I would think you can deal with a lot of “culture” for the money and profit sharing other airlines are paying not to mention driving to work is litterally priceless.

Go visit the W2 thread and report back. Only place worse than here is Frontier and Atlas.

But I thought everyone was leaving for the Legacy’s. One thread you guys say everyone has apps out and attrition is sky high then another you say you will never upgrade.

Turnover is the bottom half of the FO list. People that wouldn't upgrade anyway.

Training failures are in there too.

Unfortunately this link did not work so I reached out to the organization that created it but received no response. After about a week I got another email telling me to finish the talent assessment but the link was still not working. Sent another email to a different group of folks that handle the app process. Another email came with a good link followed by a Thanks but no Thanks.

Out of all the apps I have in, this is my first of those messages. I know I meet the mins by far. So it's not that. I failed my instrument oral about 15 years ago. Is that a major deal breaker?

Someone mentioned that since I live in ATL and I'm in my mid 30's they might be worried about me using the type and going straight to Delta. Which is not my intention. Wondering how to get this message across to them, that I'm not that guy.

Anyone else had this problem?
Why dont you want a legacy? Do you enjoy making ** and overworking? Try a regional.

I kid, I kid. The by far thing was a bit mis leading. My TPIC time is nothing to brag about. Pretty low. But it's there. Assumed it would help push me over the required mins.
I imagine that you are over qualified. Our new hires seem to be less experienced pilots with fewer options. I know almost everyone in my class that could leave already has.
