DFW commuter hotels

Motel 6 DFW Airport North (Irving) had a decent crew rate that I took advantage of a few times before I moved to base last year. Wouldn't hurt to call them to see if they still offer it. (972) 915-3993

The quality inn is well worth the extra $8ish. It’s much cleaner and has a dedicated van whereas the motel6 and red roof are a shared van that may never come. The red roof also might have had a murder or rape in your room.

As a commuter to DFW I choose depending on my show time. If you have a mid morning/late afternoon show I would not recommend the Motel 6 or Red Roof as they use the same shuttle service and they get behind very easily. Atleast with the quality in you have the dedicated shuttle that gets you too and from the hotel very easily. I would say the Red Roof was the cleanest and had the fastest internet. Also, the you don’t get hallway noise at the Red Roof as the doors are outside!

I usually use Doubletree or Home2 to get the Hilton points
In a pinch the Minute suites in the D terminal has a crew rate of $80/night (shower is $20 - see they’ve adopted Spirits unbundling strategy) if you just don’t want to schlep it in the crew room for the night.
