I wouldn't necessarily doubt him. I flew with guys, as an FO, who would tell gate agents "I want out of here as soon as we have the passengers on." IF you dont have a ton of passengers, it can be done.
But as to the topic of this early push and it relating to our A14 time. My guess is it pushes 30 early, it blocks in 50 early. Our block times are huge now, this isnt a secret and the A14 times show it.

Plus, time for some truth. We will not be released under this NMB. It’s a new board with 2 new members. They are republican appointed from a business owner President who loathes unions.
Take a breath. It’s a long career and this won’t be the last time we battle these guys in a contract. Let the process work, no matter how prejudice it is against pilots, we let it work.

I really don't get how a union member can vote for this clown.
As pilots we tend to be conservative by nature, forgetting that we are labor!
We stand our ground, and be patient. Time will show, even this management friendly NMB, the "true nature" of Spirit mismanagement.

Every time I feel that way, I remember Slick Willy cancelling the AMR pilot strike in 1997. Ever since then, it has become increasingly difficult for airline employees to strike. ive no need to exaggerate. We pulled in to the gate next door 30 mins prior to scheduled departure and they were pulling the jet bridge. To the following poster, yes it was the last flight of the night.

I believe it. If we have all the confirmed pax they seem to have no reason leaving very early. Even if we don’t have everybody they close the door 15 early. We need to be aware on the last flight not to close more than 15 early
