This is why I refuse to think about PBS they can't even pay me (and a couple hundred of my friends) correctly

So if we were to get the exact same contract and pay scale as say the big 3 and the only thing left to argue about was PBS you would still say no? Also I recommend reading about globalization in regards to PBS, that may help a lot and should be considered.

I would also like to state that for the most part everyone on here freaking out about PBS have never even used it before. We can try and get legacy pay, or ***** and moan about line bidding. But we won't get both legacy pay and line bidding, it's just not going to happen.

We haven't been offered anywhere near industry standard pay rates, retirement, insurance, job protections, etc, so why should we consider concessionary scheduling language that would allow the company to fly us more, give us less days off, eliminate soft time, and continue to build inefficient schedules while reducing the staffing need?

Excellent answer and yes I've used PBS and still don't want it.

So are you actually saying globalization is a good thing?

Right, you are still thinking in terms what we HAVE been offered. Hence why the union turned it down and rightfully so. This is why the union after the polling said that it would be open to go back to the negotiation table with PBS, but only if our contractual demands are met and pay scales go way up.

The old "troll" gag, how original. Go do some studying on the subject before you come on here calling people names.

The irony that you chose to have me research smartpref. I have used it at my previous company, and the I hated it because it would globalize. Now there were ways with the right work rules to make it not globalize, and then for a PBS vendor it would be a good option. Just ask any ASA pilot why they didn’t want SmartPref and they will tell you because the XJT was using it as a globalized system.
