EVERYTHING we have asked for has been indepentently proven to be completely affordable while also allowing Spirit to be successful. There is no point in debating that fact. We aren’t asking for industry leading. It’s beyond reasonable and imo way too low considering we will probably see $300/hr narrowbody pilots at united in a year.

All Spirit has to do is agree. They don’t, not because they can’t afford it, but because they just don’t want to and they don’t seem to have a grip on today’s reality of pilot compensation or have a long term vision for the airline.

Making slow incremental increases would have worked but Spirit would’ve had to come to the table outside of section six and offered raises out of the blue in 2012 and then again in 2015 and again in 2018. They didn’t do that. Some may not think we tried that approach. We did. Instead they are insistent of 5 year contracts and negotiating endlessly so that we are so far behind that unless we achieve massive increases we will never catch up. We must capitalize on the best negotiating environment most of us will see in a career and if we squander it on a minimal increase there is nothing that says Spirit will act any different eight years from now and the negotiation environment may well not be as much in our favor. What’s so sad is that even if we achieve everything we’ve asked for we will most likely be just as far behind next time around. Taking less simply isn’t an option and not doing so isn’t going to negatively affect the viability of Spirit as an ULCC

I don't think anyone here is debating that fact except maybe Feng. But who cares? Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and can participate in the discussion. But resulting to the tactics of a 13 year old with name calling shows yourself and others inability to have an adult conversation.

Any commentary on a pilot board to make the group question the viability of the ask or the motives of the negotiating committee to get the group the very best deal possible only serves to fracture unity and make achieving the goal of the ask less likely which is exactly what Spirit wants.

I do not hold any title within Spirit Alpa other than informed line pilot in good standing and I have had plenty of disagreements on a multitude of issues with those that represent us. I can tell you what we have asked for is more than reasonable and that our representatives and negotiators are doing everything they can to get us the best deal possible. The day they deliver a substandard TA is the day I won’t say that and the reason they haven’t delivered a TA yet is because doing so would mean agreeing to spirit’s substandard industry bottom terms. Believing anything otherwise would be misinformed and only serves to embolden and empower Spirits C suite and board of directors. It’s down right toxic.

Feng, You're not even a pilot but you got an APC account to troll the Spirit threads. I have a feeling someone is getting a little side money to troll this thread. Now how about you get off APC, go spend a little time with your very dissatisfied wife and think about your life choices. I hope you find what you're looking for. By the way not only are you very proactive troll but you actually chose the name FENG. How stupid can you actually be?

Did you miss the part where I said maybe we should try acting like adults on here? He's heard this all before many many times already give it a rest. If you disagree with him fine, almost all of us do. But talking about someones wife? Grow the f up man. I suggest you go ahead and hit that log out button too.

Not presenting arguments, but promoting management propaganda, and lowering expectations, why?
If you ever worked here or feel so entitled to advise us, thanks but no thanks.
Spirit management does not care about this airline, nor its employees.
This is not Herb in the 70s.
These are locusts that jump from one company to another creating wealth only for themselves.
This "management" knows they will not be around for long.
Their sole motivation is short term gains and golden parachute retirement!
Even if they fail in their task, to sell or merge.

Accounting is meaningless, once the mediator was sold on the 40% raise.
We need to focus on saving our QOL.
Pay will rise when they are forced to.
QOL can only be given away by US!
There is no logic in this game, it's all about power.
Time is on our side and power is shifting, let's be patient.
They will only return to negotiate when forced.
It's a poker game and we cannot flinch!

Whatever dude, but you're right we should all act like adults here. I'm all for fair talk but when someone spends all of their efforts trying to devalue a pilot group it gets pretty damn old. This site will never be civil so learn to deal with it. Did I miss the part where you told us how to act? I'm sorry I didn't know you were the voice of reason around here. Also why should I give it a rest? He sure as hell isnt in his campaign to prove that we deserve half as much as everyone else and should smile about it.

1) Please quote me where I am "promoting management propaganda".

2) Please explain to me how "time is on our side". I would assume its on managements because they have zero incentive to go back to the table when they are getting our pilot group at a huge discount and they are slowing orders. Side note; any idea how we can "force" them back to the negotiation table? Or is that assuming the moderator will give a damn?
