This is what the focus of moving forward with Management should involve.

One question not asked in the call today was...if your arguments are so bulletproof....how have we arrived at such an impotent position to leverage the company? Why are SPA pilots are embracing future work rules at an all time high of airline profitability, when every other PBS system was implemented during bankrupt, compromised financial conditions.

If alternative tactics at the table hold no value, how does the NC defend the success of current tactics?

I think those questions would be better asked of the NMB because THAT is how we got here.

Those are great points. I know of several guys who wanted to ask questions in last couple of calls who were just not allowed to ask. If our reps are comfortable fielding questions from the pilots they represent, it makes one wonder why.

Tell your friends to email their questions to the NC. They’ll get a response.

Just an observation. It appears to me that relief lines are basically PBS lines within a line bidding system. Since everyone of those have 15 days off it sounds like Management is basically saying that they’re ok with 15 days off.

Minimum 15 days off a month with pbs would solve the 4 days off problem and make it waivable at pilots discretion. Southwest has this I believe.

This. Precisely. Under our future PBS system, a large percentage of pilots will waive the four days off in order to get more of what they want out of the system. Those who do not will likely see how those that do benefit from it and may change how they bid. The four day off provision will remain, but be rendered largely worthless in the future. It would be smart to go for an increase in days off across the board to counter this eventuality.

What SWA has is way better then just 15 day min:
The average hard-line per base shall have maximum 13 or 13.5 days WORK per month, depending on 30 or 31 days in the month.

So on average 17.25 days OFF per month, our LAS lines for January had 14.6 days off. I would drop down to 60hr credit to get the same days off, never mind my Captain pay rate is 20% lower then a SWA FO with the same YoS....
