Can we get back to worrying about PBS?

No one wants PBS, but the negotiators are pushing it. Why?

As valid as the APC opinion is , I decided to call my rep and ask. Apparently, the NC and company have agreed that any PBS framework will maintain 4 days off, red/green, and vacation touching. So, how is the sky falling?

Transition. Vacation affects, what, 2 weeks a year for most here? Transition, whether you get it on a regular basis or not will affect everyone... via staffing, available trips, and ability for OT. Better get some pretty sweet min days off/trip/duty rigs if you want to shove that down our throats!

YES!!! Unfortunately it is more comfortable being dumb and surrounding yourself with other dummies.

I missed the communication where they were meeting together without the NMB.

This would be huge news. You’re the only person I’ve heard it from so far. I don’t believe the company and NC have met since September so I’m not sure how this could be true.

They've been meeting for the last two years. Oh wait, that doesn't fit your agenda.

F!@# the MEC! The NC sucks! Recall the NMB!!! Down with the man!

What about the setting of min/max line values? What about premium pay for, and limits on unstacking? If these issues aren't addressed, it is a loophole to give the company free backdoor junior manning! I need to see these addressed in black and white before I vote yes on any TA with PBS in it.

What agenda? I’ve never spoken poorly about out leadership. Also, as far as I know we never spoke about pbs with the company. The final days of negotiating back in September were on other topics and then the company said it was all contingent on getting PBS. We said No. We polled the pilot group. We told the NMB we are willing to “discuss” PBS and a meeting was set for status updates with the NMB. We have not gotten any communication since. Did you get a communication that said we met without the NMB to discuss PBS with Spirit? I didn’t and as far as I know it wasn’t talked about (specifics) in the last two and a half years of negotiations.
