Plz take the male appendix measuring contest between Allegiant and Spirit to another forum.

Can we get back to worrying about PBS?

No one wants PBS, but the negotiators are pushing it. Why?

Sometimes decisions that are difficult must be made. The negotiations will not continue unless the company or Alpa bend on their proposals. Give and take. Most do not want PBS I agree. But most do not want to stay in limbo (according to the surveys) if we try and get everything we want. The NMB has decided the company has been reasonable so they might not offer much more. The decision comes down to do you want to keep our current contract or get raises with pbs (however it may be implemented). Again not an easy decision for those who enjoy our work rules.

Why? Because the survey said otherwise.

People just won't admit it face to face that they care more about pay and less about QOL. If you want to make more money, be at home more, then live in base. This phenomenon is not unique to any one airline.

PBS or not, you'll enjoy an unparalleled QOL by driving to work than 90% of your friends in any other profession.

Easy to say if you don't care where you live. Our bases are horrible.

Haha. Such a statement. All 6 bases sucks um, ok...

So if you like living in one of our bases you clearly don’t “care where you live”. Such an subjective opinion

Everyone is hiring and with all the airlines there is a nice offering of domiciles. It’s not like you are commuting here for a superior contract. Do your best to get on somewhere you can live in base. It will literally change your life. My commuting life seemed to drag on like torture and I was going to quit the industry after doing it for nearly a decade. It’s also not good for your health no matter how much you like where you live.

I agree Lincoln. You prove a point to these typing heads and they throw out accusations and lies like its going out of style. You show them history and historical data and they come back with oh your a managment type troll. Its like in politics when you have an “R” next to your name you are automatically a racist, bigot, homophobe.

I posted multiple times 4 months ago that you would have to gut work rules to get pay rates and was called every name in the book. Funny I was spot on again.

Dude...aside from ACY we have pretty standard airline bases. I mean it would be super duper awesome if we had a base somewhere like AUS or SAN but airlines just don't do that.
