I hope you guys are right. Please prove me wrong. I heard Gary was asked if they could train 100 new hires a month! That's how out of touch these people are. I think it showed 60 for next month! I'm sure that really means 40 at the end of the month if we're lucky. Super I want to sign up for the thanksgiving new hire class! IMHO it will be a long time before the company calls us to talk. No need to, we have "super pilots" here at Spirit.

PBS is a contract within a contract. PBS is fine if the contractual language is written properly. Everyone here thinks PBS is a thing that can't be controlled. PBS is a way to bid and just like line bidding they need to hash out the details before they shove it down our throats. Tell me what they want with PBS and put it in writing.
With proper PBS language you could have better or equal QOL/soft pay as with our current line bidding. I'm a 100% no vote if they just say PBS without explaining what it entails. If spirit is open to giving the union full control of the bidding process, no pre awards (this is huge from a PBS standpoint), a solid +5 hour min day with a big trip/duty rig, no min target adjustment after bidding is closed, no unstacking, then I'm open to it as long as our pay scales look like the legacy rates. But realistically if they agreed to all that then why would they want PBS...

I responded with: You know what else is a tool? A hunting knife. I can use a hunting knife to feed the hungry and clothe the cold. *OR* I can take a hunting knife and stab you in the back with it.
What do you think Spirit Management will do if you give them a hunting knife? You can agree on the rules of the knife, but once you've handed it to them, you're pretty much at the mercy of the guy coming at you with a knife.

A pro-PBS negotiator once told me "PBS is nothing more than a tool, why are you scared of it?"

With that said I don't want PBS. Just saying there is more to PBS than just pref bidding. And just like with anything in life if the price is right I'll look at it. No one thing is an absolute no vote for me. Show me the whole thing. But you're 100% right that PBS is a tool and it's how the tool gets used that makes all the difference.

Delta isn't perfect but at least mgmt treats us with a bit of respect.
Spirit's management is a steaming pile of feces and it will never change.
Good luck you guys, Keep up the good fight.
