What I saw is that the retention bonus is being rolled into hard pay. Which is better since bonuses can go away at anytime but hard contractual pay is more difficult if at all possible to go away. So its more like rolling bonus into pay, not really giving it up.

And the company withholds the right to still offer a signing bonus up to $20,000. Their proposed TA, if voted in (and if not), effectively raises the bar for everyone. Lookin at the rates, it would be possible for an FO to make a very livable wage by years 2/3. A Captain can easily make $100,000+ on years 3/4 pay if they desire. And a senior check airman could likely make close to what a junior CA at an LCC is making. Time for Spirit to get what you deserve. Management has been dragging their for far too long on you.

If you average the 1st two years of payrates Spirit only pays $1/hr more than Endeavor over the 1st two years. It's basically the same money to fly an RJ vs Airbus. That doesn't even take into account the $20,000 first year bonus at Endeavor.
