Tip the van drivers...its what we do

Service workers are low income by choice. Why should I subsidize their poor life choices? I chose to study, work several jobs simultaneously and take out loans to get to my current income level. And now that I'm successful I should spend part of my income to subsidize theirs. I already pay higher taxes to support their poor lifestyle choices. Come on, this is 'Merica! Everyone can be successful! Leaving a tip is no different than welfare. The more I tip the more I'm encouraging them to not better themselves.
Btw: the preceding was a joke, I Tip generously.

Tipping in this country is getting out of hand. Even the fast food restaurants such as Jersey Mikes are adding tips to the kiosk. I'd rather load my own bags. Tired of making change to get $1 bills. The DTW guys have to tip each way to and from work to airlines parking. Why are they forced to pay to get to work? I'm with the no tippers lets get rid of tipping in this country.

I always add gas. And when I get close to the destination I go into a holding pattern. I pass the hat around in the back and say when it's full, we will land. And those with tight connections might want to put in a few extra bucks.

Of course I tip van drivers. I read an article a few years back about how Marriott reminded us to "Not forget to tip the maid." It made me sick. Why don't these billion dollar companies just pay their employees a fair wage instead of relying on all of us to pick up the slack. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/marriott-thank-the-maid/

It's fascinating how Americans are obsessed with tipping, especially flight crews. Tips are meant to be reserved for EXCELLENT service, not for general handouts. It's funny to watch flight crews doing more work to dig for a dollar than the driver did to get them there.
