just accept alpa will get you a cost neutral ta and scare the excrement out of you if you say you will vote no. if that is not something you want, best thing to do is leave this sinking ship as soon as you can.....oh, and this ta is still 2 to 3 years out.....just saying

Unless you are top 20% seniority you will NOT get what you want, but what is left over.
PBS will NOT give you more schedule flexibility than you already enjoy.
You can currently drop and add to fit your needs.
VAC will be worthless with PBS.
For the 40% to 60% seniority folks, it will be like a relief line.
You may get some of your requests, some of the time.
Double checking for "errors", will take just as much time as bidding for lines.

There are ways to run PBS, which are less seniority heavy.

Also, doesn't FedEx bid two months together? That would help transition six months out of the year.

They already have the ability to explore this (25.B.4). They've never approached ALPA concerning it, probably because marketing has no idea what they're doing 90ish days in advance. Which should give you an indication of how PBS implementation would go.

No way, if we get PBS we will be stuck with it no matter what nuclear option we have. They already don't and haven't followed the contract do you honestly think they would if there was a provision to go back to line bidding.

NC stated last June in IAH that the company indicated that they have no plans to handle a PBS implementation/management themselves; they apparently are keenly aware of their own IT limitations. They have been clear that they'd farm it out.
