We need pbs like we need a raging case of the Herps. With PBS we will lose days off for transition AND will lose days off accrued from touching vacation days. Those days do add up to a lot of time with family/friends. Once it's gone, it's gone and we cannot get that back. Why give anything up? Spirit CAN afford it. Although, I highly doubt Spirit could afford the amount of money it would take for me to vote yes on anything attached to PBS.
I hope people are doing their part to educate (not berate) others on the hazards of PBS and those who are willing to take pay cuts for work rules.
This is NOT a regional. It's our time to sack up.

I have no doubt that if we voted in PBS that Spirit management would violate every single rule and parameter and force us to arbitrate each and every issue. Now, imagine waiting 2-3 years for an arbitration judgement while being hosed every single month for years. PBS is a NO.

Spirit is one of if not the most profitable in the US and can be profitable in a down market with high fuel costs? Many pilots here see no reason we can not get wages in line or MORE than the other majors along with keeping line bidding. I will not say no until I see the TA, but if we lose line bidding, green/red and go to PBS my vote and many others is most likely a NO!! I worked at two airlines with PBS, besides losing the vacation with days off on both sides the pilots rarely got what they wanted, etc...... it was horrible. Spirit management would certainly take advantage of PBS and the pilots quality of life would go down dramatically. .Line bidding, profit sharing, higher 401k, United/Delta +1 and more is very attainable for Spirit in the current market. If Spirit wants to survive they need to meet the pilots demands as Spirit pilots are the ones in the drivers seat and need to concede nothing.
