I don't think the company has any intentions of implementing pbs. It's just another stall tactic. If they wanted pbs, the flight attendants would have it. They certainly don't have the ability to implement it. They can't get any IT right. The iPad rollout, the sum total, and the recurrent training all show how inept they are.

I disagree...The flight attendants don't have it because their costs are a fraction of ours and it's not worth it for the company to implement an entirely new system for one lower cost group. For us, it would make sense because they are staring at a huge increase in costs and and the efficiency gained with PBS would be worth the change.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be a complete fuster cluck if it happened, but I wouldn't write off the company's desire for it.

If 4 days off and vacation touching are protected with PBS, according to the Negotiating Committee, I am willing to keep an open mind and see what a potential TA has to offer.
The loss of transition conflict under PBS is a work rule concession, and would require a substantial raise by itself as compensation.
I am not optimistic about the NK board and executives negotiating in good faith or offering a fair economic package by April. That would require a major change of heart, and they don't have one to begin with.

What leg does the company have to stand on to not give us industry standard?

It doesn't matter... We still have pilots volunteering for job fairs!! Regional FO's here think we have incredible work rules and are willing to take pay cuts to fly the mighty 228 seat A321! Senior guys still think $185 is industry leading! Management continues to abuse us, yet we show up for MUP to save the day. New CA upgrades are afraid of their own shadow, and carry write ups around....
